DESCRIPTION:Big Plant Sale! Big Fund Raiser!\nCome and support the County Fair fundraiser! We’ll be joining the park-wide garage sale at Aptos Knolls by holding our plant sale at Sharon’s home on Saturday the 18th of July. We’ll start at 9am and pack up at noon or when we run out of items to sell… whichever comes first.. \nBring some cash. You’ll find some bargains. And\, more importantly\, bring items to sell. \nHere are some idea: Seeds\, plants\, pots\, gardening tools\, and attire\, such as hats\, gloves\, aprons\, shoes\, boots\, and bibs. Time to clear out that garden shed! \nYour contributions to the this Plant Sale is what will make it a big success. \nImportant instructions: Please bring your contributions to Sharons place before next Saturday. She lives at Aptos Knoll. Her contact information is in the reminder email sent on the 24th of June. DESCRIPTION:This may be the shortest but I think it just might be the most well attended parade in the world!  And the Garden Cruzers are going to be there. Come\, join the fun\, enjoy the day. \nWe’ll be handing out our “business cards”\, each with a little silk flower attached\, to promote our garden club. \nMeet at the library at the start of the parade. Be there no later than 9:30. The parade starts at 10am and it’s over by 11am. It’s short! \nIf you can’t be there\, let your friends and neighbors know to look out for us. We’ll be in a vintage truck that looks a lot like the truck in our logo.

SUMMARY:CJ's Birthday Bash!  A Tour of Monarch Cove & Steve Walter's Garden
DESCRIPTION:Join the Cruzers Garden Club for a very special gathering. Things to celebrate! \nThe miracle of the Monarch’s metamorphosis\, the transformation of a backyard space\, and CJ’s birthday! \n Here’s the plan:\nMeet in the parking area at Monarch Cove at 10am. (See map below) Parking is limited so car pool or park down at the public parking on Monterey Avenue and Park Avenue and walk up\, if you can. \n1. First\, the tour of Monarch Cove. It will start at 10:15 and we’ll be done by 11:15. Katrina will walk us through the Monarch Cove Inn Butterfly Program. It is an environmental and educational initiative run by the historic Monarch Cove Inn. Located on a cliffside overlooking Monterey Bay\, a designated portion of the inn’s property is legally protected as an environmental easement serving as a Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. \n2. Then\, a transformation of a different kind – in progress right next door. Guitar teacher\, Steven Walters\, with CJ’s able assitance\, is transforming his once neglected backyard space into a garden of note. Come take a look at the progress\, hear the plans\, and share your ideas on the potential. \n3. Topping the tours will be a Bring Your Own Bag Lunch and celebrate CJ’s birthday on the ocean view patio at CJ’s place next to Monarch Cove Inn. There’ll be birthday cake and beverages. \nLook out for an email with more details. \nIf you are not on the email list\, contact CJ. She can be found most days at Digs Garden Center in Aptos. Ask to be added to the mailing list and you’ll receive the reminder emails that go out from time to time. \n  \n
